Take WV Rt. 2 south from Wheeling to 12th St. Extension. Turn left and go 1¼ miles to the Marshall County Fairgrounds.

This will be your last chance to purchase a piece of West Virginia history from the estate of the late West Virginia Governor and U.S. Representative Arch A. Moore.

This will be the final and largest auction conducted for the estate. It will feature several items from dedications and presentations from local and national meetings that the Governor attended. At this auction, we have the official West Virginia Governor’s car that was presented to the Governor. Also, we will offer the items from his Moundsville law office.

 GOVERNOR MOORE’S 1976 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL TOWN CAR

Manufactured in February, 1976, this unique automobile is mountaineer blue with gold striping and has the ID tag “Governor Arch Moore”. The car is equipped with a 460 cu. in. engine, and was purchased from a Ford dealer in Charleston, WV. It has power leather seats (no rips or tears seen), separate driver and passenger seat controls, cruise control, tilt steering wheel, power windows, AM/FM/8 track stereo, vinyl top, auxiliary gas tank in trunk, fender skirts, and the original hubcaps. The odometer shows 09939 miles.
