The heirs of the McKinley family have selected Behm’s Auction & Real Estate Services, LLC to sell the items from the McKinley estate. McKinley has long been a predominant name in West Virginia history for several generations and played an important role in helping to form the State of West Virginia.

The items are from the 12,000 square foot attic and from the additional storage rooms of the family’s enormous house, located in Wheeling. The items are from over three generations of the McKinleys living in the same home. Several of the items have not been seen for over 50+ years. This is a chance to visit and purchase a part of not only local, but early American history.

The auction will be sold by the vault that has been packed by a private moving company and relocated to the Triadelphia sale site. There will be numerous units to be sold to the highest bidder. The items have not been unpacked or inspected by the public. This auction will have items from the early 1800’s through the 1960’s. The items have been professionally packed and stored in a climate controlled facility for several months and will be offered by the vault unit.  The items being offered will range from:

 EARLY ANTIQUES, GLASSWARE, FURNITURE, DOCTOR’S BUGGIES, ITEMS from a WHEELING CATHOLIC CHURCH, SEVERAL STEAMER TRUNKS, EARLY DECORATIVE ITEMS, RUGS, ENGLISH & AMERICAN ANTIQUE FURNITURE and thousands of other items not seen.
