PREMIER REAL ESTATE & PERSONAL PROPERTY AUCTION

Sat, November 11, 2017 @ 10:00 AM

The home is located off Rt. 250 at 102 Pennsylvania Avenue in Cameron. Turn onto Green Valley Road and go ¼ miles to the property located on the left. The real estate and personal property items will be sold from the American Legion in Cameron located across from Green Valley Road (Pennsylvania Ave) on the corner of Rt. 250 and Loudenville Rd. The real estate will be offered first. Watch for auction signs.

Behm’s Auction and Real Estate Services is proud to offer for auction this well maintained 5 bedroom Victorian style home located in Cameron, WV. The historical home has all the original oak trim inside the home. The first floor offers a family style dining room with sink and cabinets, built in Maytag dishwasher, and ample cabinet space. To compliment this room is a large built-in flat wall cabinet with glass front doors. The main kitchen has cabinet space, Hot Point gas stove and Hot Point refrigerator. The highlight of the formal dining room is that of a small glass front china cabinet that was built on top of the mantle. Also in this room is the main electric service box.

Original oak working pocket doors lead into the front parlor room with beautiful gingerbread trim above the opposite set of pocket doors leading to the foyer. There you will find a mantle (there is a mantle in almost every room of the home) that has a carved lion’s head on both mantle posts custom made for this home. In the foyer is the main stairway which has a bright look to the original oak trim and under stair storage area. Also on the 1st floor is a study/library room. Rounding out the 1st floor is a ½ bath.

The 2nd floor offers 5 bedrooms in which 4 of them have ventless gas heaters in place. This floor also has its own electric service box and laundry area with hookups. The full spacious bathroom offers a clawfoot bathtub. To compliment the upstairs is a full finished attic which also has a separate electric box. There is a lot of potential in the attic which has been used for storage. The windows are stained glass trimmed. There is a rear staircase that leads from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor. The original gas lighting is still evident in the home as well. Serviced by city water and sewer.

The partial basement has dry storage area and sandstone watering troughs which offer a piece of history to this home. A Whirlpool 40 gallon gas water tank and Rainsoft water softener compliment the basement.

The exterior of the home has a ¾ wrap around porch while the back porch has original timber roof supports. Approx 30’x24’ 2-story stone foundation (possibly oldest in Cameron, derived from family) building houses a stone cellar and workshop upstairs. There is a spacious 2 car garage with workshop area as well. Drive thru entrance along with ample ground for any additional landscaping that a person may want to do.

We will sell the Personal Property by a slideshow from the American Legion due to the weather and lack of parking. The distance is only about 3-5 minutes from each point.

These items have been well cared for and ready to be placed in your home for use. At the time of this listing, we are still uncovering items from the outbuilding, attic and basement.
